I Do Records is a Naarm / Melbourne-based Bespoke Vinyl DJ Service for Your Wedding or Party from a DJ with a difference - THOUSANDS of dancefloor ready little ex-jukebox 45s of soul, pop, rock, punk, and disco.

What is UNIQUE is YOU have the option to collaborate on which flavours of party-starting 45rpm records will be laid out in wooden crates at your event. On the night (if you wish) EVERYONE is welcome to look and select some songs and I will mix these records in to create a flowing and inclusive dancefloor. It’s like an interactive jukebox coming to life with the help of an experienced party DJ . Only danceables, only songs you love.

My name is Sam / DJ Watermelon Nights and I’ve been slinging soul, world disco, boogie, rock and guilty pop records for over 10 years now at weddings and bars all over Australia, in Seattle and Beijing, and festivals such as Dark Mofo, Falls, and Panama. I play and tour in my jangle-pop band Quivers which is partly an excuse to collect more 45s overseas! You can also find me DJing a fortnightly Sunday Jukebox at my favourite Melbourne venue, The Northcote Social Club on the second and fourth Sundays of each month.

What I’ve learnt is that vinyl records and in particular the 45rpm format (AKA 45s, singles, 7”s) are perfect for weddings and parties. A room full of love + records = maximum party potential.
